The stray dog attacked the six year old as she played in front of her home in Lake Forest.
LAKE FOREST — A mother who saw her 6 year old daughter being attacked by a stray dog in her front yard pulled out a gun and shot the animal Wednesday morning.
The dog, described as a brown and white boxer, sustained several gunshots and was critically wounded. The little girl was bitten several times, including wounds to her leg, calf, thigh, arm and face. She was treated by paramedics and later taken to her family doctor.
