A FEMALE teacher was arrested for allegedly having sex with a 14-year-old student after Arizona police using night vision goggles caught them in the act.
Andrea Martinez, 26, was expected to face charges of child molestation and sexual conduct with a minor after cops caught her by chance on a routine patrol, KNXV reported.
Police in Gila River, south of Phoenix, spotted a white sport utility vehicle pulled over on the side of the road about 10:40pm local time Wednesday.
When they investigated the car from a distance using night vision goggles they saw two people having sex.
Police intervened when the couple climbed out of the car and had an argument.
When cops spoke to the pair, they found the boy was only 14 years old and that Martinez was his former teacher.
Martinez was still working for the Stanfield Elementary School District when she was arrested.
Police told KNXV the pair admitted to having sex together in the car at the scene.
The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, also admitted they had sex a month before, police said.
The school district was helping police with their investigations.
