They have the unmitigated gall of calling us ‘infidels’ and yet they have the most archaic laws that it is very hard to even begin to wrap your head around.
What kind of regime would allow a 14 year old girl to be married, this is a child that should be going to school and getting an education to prepare her to face a hostile world with some degree of knowledge. She should be busy playing with her friends, enjoying her life and looking forward to become a productive adult.
Instead at her age she was married, when most western children would not even be contemplating having a serious relationship. Then to add insult to injury her so-called husband accused her of adultery and because of her age this young girl has been languishing on death row, waiting to reach the ripe old age of 18 so that they can execute her by stoning her to death.
If anyone should be labelled as ‘infidels’ those are the people who should wear that name. They have no rights to criticise up in the west when they have their draconian laws that allowed them to murder children, and the more I read the stories of the atrocities the more I agree with the sanctions that have been imposed on the country.
Although innocent people will be caught up in the politics, I cannot but agree with the UN for their stance.
What kind of people would allow such barbaric acts to be impose on their citizens. I am so angry to believe that these people called themselves civilised nation, what part of civility tell one that you can keep a child lock up for four years in order that you can then murder them.
It seems to me that the laws in Iran are stacked against the female populations, as all that a man, who want to get rid of his wife have to do is to accuse them of adultery and they will be beaten and them stoned to death.
I believe firmly in democracy and I do believe that sometimes we should leave an independent country to undertake there judicial undertaking without interfering with their process, but this has gone too far, this is not due judicial process that should play any part in a 21st century world, these are old time backward undertakings, created by men who have no vision, narrow-minded old fogies who had nothing better to do.
These men, and you can bet they were men who created these laws stacked against women, and they seems to forget the one fundamental rule, that their mothers were women, and without women as part of the process they would not even exist.
I am so furious, to think that this child could be my daughter or given a different place and time I could have been born in this backward country.
The Iranians needs to repeal these really stupid and pathetic laws and bring their judicial system in line with the rest of the free world, we are sick and tired of having headlines where women are bearing the brunt of these idiotic rules.
