Texas teachers claim they were fired over complaints of campus sex toy parties

THREE former teachers suing a Texas school claim they were fired for complaining about on-campus sex toy parties.

In June, KENS 5 said the principal of Gabriel Tafolla Academy, a charter school in Uvalde, in southwest Texas, took part in sex toy parties hosted by a teacher at the school.

Three unnamed teachers complained that Principal Deanna Kilpatrick, who they said kept some of the items she purchased from Sensual Play Things in her office, was promoted to superintendent, the San Antonio Express-News said.

The lawsuit filed in Bexar County last week by Deanna Allen, Janice Mireles and Rosalinda Padilla does not say whether they were the local television station’s anonymous sources for the story, but the former teachers claim they were fired after reports about the parties surfaced.

The plaintiffs claim their First Amendment rights were violated and are seeking damages for alleged loss of income, mental anguish and damage to their reputations.
