Street shut down, armed man arrested

Why A Man Gets Toronto police confirmed they arrested a man with a gun at 156 Munro St., near Dundas St. E and Broadview Ave., Sunday evening.

Pat Aitken, a resident in the area, said the street has been locked down.

“We’re not allowed out. There are police with guns out there,” said Aitken, who witnessed the arrest, which occurred around 7:30 p.m.

“He came out of the house, he gave them the gun and they arrested him.”

There is no word yet if there were any injuries as police are continuing to investigate.

Aitken said the area, which used to be a common site for police incidents, has been quiet for some time.
