Police release photo of man wanted for sex assault

Edmund Cherry, 28, is wanted by Toronto Police Service in connection with a sexual assault investigation

Police have released a photo of a man sought in connection with the sexual assault of a 19-year-old woman in a Toronto park on March 24.

The man allegedly took the victim to a park and assaulted her after meeting her at a bar in the Eglinton Ave. W. and Black Creek Dr. area.

Police are seeking public assistance in locating the suspect, Edmund Cherry, 28, who is also wanted for overcoming resistance by choking.

Cherry is described as a black male who stands 6-0, weighs about 150 pounds and has short, black hair and a piercing in his right eyebrow.

He also has a tattoo of a panther on his right wrist.
