MP sleeping in the commons -Are we suppose to feel sorry?

The recent ‘Evening Standard’ report that some Members of Parliament are sleeping in the House of Commons because a number of them have lost their allowance for second home, or that claiming is taking so much time that they have to resort to sleeping in the commons when they have late sittings, do not make me feel sorry for anyone of them.

They are lucky, at the very least they have a roof over their head, even if it is not the plush comforts that they become accustom to.  They should spare a thought for the people who have no homes at all, and have to be sleeping on the streets whether it is winter, summer spring or autumn.

Most MP’s had a great deal of perks that we the ordinary john doe, are not privilege to, and maybe a few minister having to dust down roughly may give them an idea of what a great deal of individuals go through everyday of their lives.  It may just may make them realised that all the forth-coming cuts that the Chancellor is going to inflict on the already poor and financial strap general public, will make our lives a dam sight more depressing and miserable.

I do not believe that this report is going to make the nation feel any sympathy for these MP’s they choose to become members of parliament and if they have to go through a little hard-ship, then welcome to the real world, the majority of us have been suffering worse kind of hardship for a long time and I hope that now that these individuals got a taste of what happen when things that you used to are taken away from you and the ensuing difficulties that arise from these situation, maybe just maybe they will fight a little bit harder for their constituents to ensure that the government do not make us have to go through any further hardship than we are already having to cope with.
