Now, I am not one to out-rightly disbelieve that people are dishonest and I tend to give people a chance, rather than to doubt what they say. But, I find myself disbelieving every word that comes out of Samantha Stobbart mouth.
Having read her account of what she claimed is systematic abuse by Raoul Moat, and the fact that she waited until his death to be talking about it makes me doubt her sincerity. Especially, the word ‘rape’, this is such a ghastly thing to happen to anyone, it is the taking away of one’s dignity, rapist are individuals who use this kind of crime to exert power over another and I hate when this word is used loosely.
I am inclined to believe what Moat’s uncle allege, when he stated that there was ‘blood on her hands’ and that she goaded him into his murderous rage.
One, just have to look at the picture of Moat, although I have never met the man, I could tell from his picture that he was a few pence short of a pound, and that intelligence and intellect did not play a great part in his life. Moat strike me as a very simply man, one who could be easily manipulated and goaded and I believe that is exactly what happen.
Her credibility, for me, was destroyed when she said she had told Moat that she was having a relationship with a policeman, only to recant the statement saying she only say that because she believe he would leave her alone.
When you have a relationship with someone you have the ability to know the buttons that you can push to send that person in a rage, and one look at Moat suggest that pushing the right buttons with him would indeed send him a vile rage, as was demonstrated when he shot her and murdered her boyfriend, Chris Brown, then preceded to shot David Rathband an unarmed police officer in the face.
As far, as I am concerned and this is my opinion, once a liar always a liar, and the fact that she could put the life of an innocent police officer in jeopardy, does not say much for her character. Moat was so enraged by the information that she gave him that he was willing to shoot any police officer, it was unfortunate that PC Rathband came into contact with him.
Raoul Moat is no longer able to defend himself against her allegations and regardless of the fact that Moat may have been idiotic and stupid in the manner in which he sought to deal with his problems, I do not think she should be now rubbishing him in the press, after-all she was with him and I am sure there must have been times that he treated her well.
I cannot abide people like her, trying to make herself looked like an innocent victim, I will not buy into her bleeding heart clap-trap.
If in fact, as she claimed that Moat was abusive to her, which I do not believe, she was the one who pick him. Women should be a little more careful of the people that they choose to have a relationship with. I did not see anywhere in that report that she gave to the papers where she stated that she had reported Moat’s antisocial behaviour or domestic violence against her.
I am against domestic violence in any shape or form and normally when a woman said that she has been abuse, I would not disbelieve them, as most abuse woman has no reason to lie. However, rightly or wrongly, I find myself disbelieving every single word that Samantha utter out of her mouth.
