John Travolta’s dogs accidentally struck and killed by airport truck

IN another blow for John Travolta’s family, the actor’s two dogs were struck and killed by a truck at Bangor International Airport.

The Bangor Daily News said city officials released a statement saying that an aeroplane carrying Travolta family members landed at approximately 1am (local time) last Thursday and “someone who is not a family member” took the two small dogs for a walk.

An airport service pickup truck, coming to service the plane, struck and killed the dogs, the statement said.

The dogs’ names and breeds were not known. The paper said Paul Bloch, a publicist for Travolta, said today he was unaware of the incident.

Travolta and his wife, actress Kelly Preston own a house on Islesboro, off the Maine coast, and the family was headed there from Bangor, the paper said.

In January 2009, the couple’s 16-year-old son, Jett, died after suffering a seizure while on holiday with the family in the Bahamas.
