Commissioner warns police over ‘Dudus’

COMMISSIONER of Police Owen Ellington last night used the police radio network to advise colleagues following the issue of an arrest warrant for Tivoli Gardens don Christopher ‘Dudus’ Coke.

Ellington advised police that the arrest of Coke is being planned by security forces and asked his subordinates to exercise vigilance and alertness both on and off duty.

“The Police High Command is expressing its gratitude and satisfaction with the professional and dignified way in which members have responded to the Coke extradition issue by staying clear of public debates and by refraining from making public comments,” said Ellington.

He also advised police against commenting publicly on the matter.

“The main effort at executing the arrest warrant will be directed from the Police High Command. All police formations will be advised of their required levels of participation when and if necessary.”
