Why should Facebook?

Why should face book removed the tribute to Raoul Moat, that would tantamount to censorship and freedom of speech.

Facebook is a social network website and unless somebody post information that threathen the life of an individual, or promoting child sex abuse, or any information that could be potentially dangerous to indiviuals or group, then people should be allowed to post their tribute, irrespectful of the fact that the Prime Minister may believe that it is in bad taste.

We cannot allow politicians to censor the rights of an individual to pay homage to someone, even the likes of Raoul Moat.

Distasteful as it is, we are suppose to be living in a democracy and although, I personally would not like tribute being giving to a person who hurt or harm my child, I have to remember that this is the price we paid for the freedom of democracy.

So, whilst the tribute on facebook may upset a number of people,  Facebook should not take off the page, they set up the website to cater for precisely these kind of tribute and Raoul Moat may have been the lowest form of life there is, but he’s dead, and if a few people want to remember him by posting tribute so be it.

The Prime Minister have more pressing issues to deal with and he has made is distaste of the situation very clear so it should be now be left to die is natural death.
