It is the right of everyone to be able to visit any country for a vacation, that they choose to. However, I cannot understand why anyone would choose to visit any country where they have the most archaic rules and regulations.
Having read the story of the South London man who was jailed in Iran for taking a picture of sunrise. Mr Barber was called a spy, how terrible he must have felt knowing that all he had done was something that we take for granted, and that is simply taking a picture.
The death of the volunteers in Afghanistan a few weeks ago summed up how I feel about going into these far distant places to offer aid. These so-called terrorist has no compunction in destroying the lives of their country men or other foreign national.
There are certain countries that individuals should stay away from, it is not worth risking your life, irrespective of how adventurous you may be, you have to think of the people that are left behind. No one want to bury a relative that has been murdered by these idiots simply because they feel the need to help, or visit a country on vacation.
We all know what to expect from certain countries and it is fool-hardy to place yourself in arms way. I would never visit any country that tell me that I have to walk behind a man, cover myself up or behave in a docile manner, I am too westernise for that crap.
Furthermore, I am a law bidding individual but there are countries with serious prison facilities and when individuals goes in to places like Singapore, and get caught with drugs,- have you see the type of prison they run, come on, let me if I am going to commit a crime do it in the UK at least the prison system is humane.
I really cannot understand the reasons why people visit countries that they know that have inhumane legal and prison system, why they decide to carry drugs in countries that can send them to prison for life in prison that even the rats are afraid to venture.
Come on people, be realistic about where you travel, do not allow yourself to be place in circumstances that you may regret, there are so many other countries that you can visit and when you take a picture of a sunrise you most certainly will not be thrown in jail for spying, so be very careful of where you decide to go for your holiday and made sure you do not end up in jail so such a stupid reason.
