SEVEN mourners were shot outside a funeral home today in Las Vegas when a man opened fire on the crowd.

The incident occurred about 7.00pm last night local time at the Palm Mortuary.

None of the injuries appeared to be life-threatening, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported.

The man, described as being Hispanic, fled in a white 1970s model Chevrolet El Camino, police said.

The mourners were attending the funeral of 21-year-old Andres Armando Elena, who was stabbed to death last month on the Las Vegas Strip between the MGM Grand and New York-New York, the Las Vegas Sun reported.

The gunman had been part of the crowd at the funeral before he pulled out his weapon and fired into the mourners.

Six adults and a child were taken to local hospitals with minor injuries.

Victor Quijano, 25, was charged with murder with a deadly weapon, attempted murder with a deadly weapon and possession of a dangerous weapon in relation to the death of Elena.

He is being held in the Clark County Detention Center without bail.
