Police are looking for James Phillip Brooks, one of three people charged over an alleged vampire-type attack on Wellington’s Mt Victoria.
Senior Sergeant Hamish Milne said the 21-year-old was failing to comply with living conditions when police went to check on him yesterday morning, and they did not know where he was.
A warrant has not been issued for his arrest but police are keen to find him.
Brooks faces a charge of wounding with intent to render unconscious, which carries a maximum penalty of 14 years in jail.
A man was allegedly bitten and had his blood drunk as he walked through Mt Victoria in February.
Brooks and his co- accused – Xenia Gregoriana Borichevsky, 19 and James Eric Orr, 19 – have not entered pleas and are due to reappear in court next month for a pre- committal evaluation hearing.
