LOS ANGELES, May 13, 2010 (AFP) – After being fiercely shielded from the spotlight for years by their late father, Michael Jackson’s children are now poised to become Internet sensations.
Webcam videos of Paris, 12, and Blanket, 8, larking around emerged on Youtube Thursday, though it was not clear who had uploaded the clips. Jackson’s other child, Prince Michael, does not appear in the videos.
In one of the fleeting clips, Jackson’s daughter Paris looks at a camera and pleads “Monkey, please help.”
In another clip, Jackson’s youngest son, Blanket, pretends to be a character from Star Wars, swinging an imaginary light saber as he plays with cousin Donte.
Jackson’s children now live with their grandmother Katherine at the musical family’s compound in the northern Los Angeles suburb of Encino.
They have not made any formal appearances in public since Paris and Prince Michael took to the stage at this year’s Grammy Awards to receive a lifetime achievement award on behalf of their father.
Music superstar Jackson died in June last year aged 50 after ingesting a lethal cocktail of prescription drugs.
