Police and emergency services went to a block of flats in Terminus Street, Liverpool, at about 4.45pm (AEDT) yesterday after receiving reports of a stabbing, and found the body of the 12-year-old boy.

Two men aged 26 and 50 with stab wounds were taken to Liverpool Hospital, where they’re in a serious but stable condition.

Police arrested the boy’s 30-year-old father at the scene and seized a knife.

The man was taken to Liverpool Police Station and questioned by detectives throughout the night, and was charged on Sunday morning with murder, attempted murder and malicious wounding.

The man has been refused bail and will appear at Parramatta Local Court on Sunday.
