Israel – What are they so afraid of?

By Sandrea: MY GRIPE

The current activities of Israeli interception of aid ships to the Gaza, makes me wonder what is Israel so afraid of that they believe that these actions are necessary.

These are aid ships, going to give relief to the those that are in need.  Why would a country such as Israel feel the need to, not only board these ship, but  to to kill members of the crew.  This seem to me as  fear, that seems to grip Israel for many years and their fear is causing them to act really irrational and it is time that the international community stop pussy-footing around and tell Israel that what they are doing is in-human and down-right disgusting.

Of course, no one is saying that Israel do not have the rights to protect her borders, but for crying out loud they do not seem to protecting their border, their acts seem to border on aggression and flexing their muscles, because they can do so.

How can we fought terrorism effectively, when countries like Israel, continue to display these uncalled for behaviour.  They are stopping others from getting the necessary aid and assistance that they so desperately need.

From the various reports regarding the activities of Israel, it would appear that the reasons for the Israeli undertaking the activities they are currently doing in Gaza, tantamount to sheer fear, but fear of what.  They are much stronger than the Palestinians, better equipped in terms of their military might so why would they do such a thing to ships carrying aid to these poor people.

It is time that the Israeli authority realise that we are in the 21st century and we should be trying to prevent war and the lost of lives, not continuing to waged revenge and vengance from year old mistakes that has been made on both side of the divide.

Too many people have already die because of the middle east conflict and it is time that someone take the initiative towards a lasting peace and what Israel is currently doing is not a blue-print for peace, when is enough is enough Israel.
