Police have identified the man who was fatally shot in the head on Friday as 26-year-old Nate Thompson.
Thompson died in hospital after being shot in the area of Jane and Sheppard at around 3 p.m.
Thompson’s post-mortem is scheduled for Monday.
Police are still looking for a man seen running from the scene who may be responsible.
They describe the suspect as a black male, 6-foot-2, between the ages of 20 to 30 years-old with a heavy build, around 260 lbs. He was last seen wearing a blue sweater and jacket with white stripes on the sleeves.
Thompson is Toronto’s 32nd homicide victim of 2010.
