The law of obligatory chemical castration for paedophiles convicted of rape and perpetrators of incest, which Poland passed in September of last year and come into effect tonight, it the best news I have read in a long time.
It is about time that somebody do something drastic to these individuals who continue to rob children of their childhood, those who insist on raping and violating their won children for years, and when they are caught they go to prison for a few years and when released they have the ability to either do the same to their children or other people’s.
I, really do not care how barbaric some people may think the Polish law is, I believe they have taken this very serious and they have done something about it. Anyone in Poland who seems to have the urge to sexually abuse their children or to rape others, his going to think twice if they know that the instrument that they are using to commit this vile crime, when they caught they will be castrated, is going to made them think real hard before they commit such despicable crime.
Sexual abuse of young people, in particular, those 4, to 15, are far too wide-spread. The perpetrators of this crime can never understand the after effect of their actions, they leave kids traumatised for life, most in their adult life find it difficult to form meaningful relationship, and the most damaging of all is the scare they carried throughout their life.
In my personal opinion, I hope many more countries take on board this legislation and once and for all let these paedophiles, rapist and child sex abuser understand that their actions will no longer be tolerated.
To demonstrate the need for the Polish law, a man in the US was charged with raping his 13-year old neighbour, and to add insult to injury the girl having became pregnant gave herself a home abortion, and pervert buried the aborted foetus. Now one can understand, why I am so elated at Poland’s law.
