Assange due in court to fight extradition

WIKILEAKS founder Julian Assange will continue his fight against extradition to Sweden where he is under investigation for alleged sex crimes.

The 39-year-old Australian is due to appear in a London court today as preparations continue for a full two-day hearing in four weeks.

Assange is currently under house arrest at a manor home owned by a friend.

He’s wanted in Sweden over claims he sexually assaulted two women during a visit to Stockholm last August .. which he denies.

The former computer hacker is behind the release of hundreds of United States diplomatic cables that have caused global uproar.

He’s also recently signed a book deal for his life story.

The full extradition hearing is listed to take place on February 7 and 8.
