The Reverend Al Miller has turned himself over to the police a short while ago at the Organised Crime Investigation Division (OCID) located in downtown Kingston.
Miller turned up at OCID at about 2:05 p.m. with his lawyer Wentworth Charles. Karl Angell communications director of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF)and Inspector Steve Brown were on hand to greet the chairman of the National Transformation Programme
Yesterday, the police asked the religious leader to immediately report to any station along with his lawyer for questioning after he was seen in the company of then fugitive Christopher ‘Dudus’ Coke.
Coke who was held in Ferry St Catherine is now in police custody waiting to be taken to a magistrate. Yesterday, Reverend Miller said he would report to the police today. The police had described Reverend Miller as a major person of interest on the matter currently being investigated.
Reverend Miller was also instrumental in Coke’s sister, Sandra and his brother Leighton ‘Livity’ Coke turning themselves in to the police. Reverend Miller told the Gleaner Power 106 News that Christopher Coke made the decision to turn himself in because he felt it was in the best interest of Jamaica.
Speaking at a press conference yesterday, Police Commissioner Owen Ellington said investigations will be conducted into the manner in which Coke was taken into custody.
