Police: Woman attacked by Ariz. sex offender, then dogs

TUCSON – Tucson police say they’ve arrested a 62-year-old man who kidnapped and tried to sexually assault a woman who was later attacked by his five dogs.

Police arrested 62-year-old Arthur Bedoya, a level-three sex offender, on Tuesday.

They say that he offered a female acquaintance a ride home on April 24, but made a stop at his own house.

While there, police say he tried to sexually assault the woman, and brutally attacked her when tried to leave.

The woman managed to get away but was attacked by his dogs outside of the house.

A passer-by helped her. She had multiple cuts and bruises from the attack.

Bedoya was booked into Pima County jail on charges of kidnapping and attempted sexual assault. It’s unclear whether he has a lawyer.
