Police appeal for witnesses after three hurt at website party

Police are appealing for witnesses following a shooting a party, which left three partygoers injured.

The event had been put on by ‘UK Urban Culture’ website, Grime Daily who were celebrating their one-year anniversary at a club in Colindale, north-west London.

Three people, including a DJ, were shot when a man produced a gun and started firing at around 4am on Sunday at the invite-only affair. They all remain in hospital with injuries not thought to be life threatening.

A statement on the Grime Daily website, run by former reality TV star, Donatella Panayiotou says: “For those who attended; although we are grateful that you chose to celebrate our anniversary with us, we also regret that you were exposed that environment and subsequent disaster on the night.

“Our thoughts, prayers and concerns lie with the two individuals injured, and we hope that both are able to pull through and make a full and speedy recovery.

“We can assure you all that this is an isolated incident, and the Grime Daily team will take every step necessary to ensure the safety of all attendees at any events we are associated with in the future.”

Three men were arrested just after the incident following a car crash at the junction of Hay Lane and Edgware Road. They have been bailed pending further inquiries.

A new incident room has been opened by Scotland Yard’s Trident team on 020 8733 4774, or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
