Pajaro teacher accused of having sex with a student, given alcohol to kids

WATSONVILLE — Detectives are investigating allegations a Pajaro Valley High School teacher had sexual contact with a student and provided alcohol to students, Watsonville police reported Friday.

The alleged crimes were reported May 10 when a school representative requested police look into the incident.

No arrests have been made and the name of the teacher allegedly involved in the misconduct has not been released by police.

Pajaro Valley High administrators took action to “ensure the safety of students,” police reported. The Police Department did not elaborate as to what that action was.

Information about the alleged victims also was withheld.

Pajaro Valley High opened in 2004 and serves approximately 2,000 students grades 9-12. The school has about 70 teachers on staff.
