TWO MORE members of the police force have found themselves on the wrong side of the law.
The two constables, whose names have been withheld, were arrested Thursday by members of the Transnational Crime and Narcotics Division (TCND).
It is reported that the constables, attached to the Manchester Police Division, were arrested after the vehicle they were driving was stopped, searched and approximately 181 pounds of marijuana found and confiscated.
According to reports, the TCND team was on routine surveillance in downtown Kingston when they decided to stop and search the occupants of a passing motor car. After searching the two men, the TCND team checked the vehicle and found the weed in four knitted bags wrapped in brown masking tape.
The two constables were taken into custody but two other persons in a white Toyota motor car, who were apparently part of the convoy transporting the marijuana, escaped.
