THE wife of a village milkman has spoken for the first time about a brutal hammer attack that left him fighting for his life.
Sandra Bullock issued an emotional appeal yesterday, exactly one month after husband Bob was savaged by three masked men outside his home in Brinklow.
The 62-year-old, who suffered serious head injuries and was blinded in one eye, remains in a “critical but stable” coma at Coventry’s University Hospital.
Sandra said: “He was a healthy, fit man. “This hasn’t just ruined his life, but this has ruined my life and affected so many people. “We cannot believe this has happened to us. Nobody can believe it. “I am trying to be strong for my daughter. I’ve got to fight. Please help find out who did this to Bob.”
Detectives yesterday revealed more details about a black Ford Focus driven by the men, who pounced as Mr Bullock mended a fence in his garden in Walker’s Terrace at 3pm on Sunday, April 25. It is thought they were after his takings and attacked him with the hammer he was using.
