Pa. man acquitted of plot to impregnate teen girl

UNIONTOWN, Pa.—A western Pennsylvania man has been acquitted of all charges he faced for allegedly conspiring with a woman to drug, rape and impregnate her 13-year-old daughter.

A Fayette County jury took less than an hour Wednesday to find 42-year-old DeWayne Calloway not guilty. He says the “allegations were all totally false.”

The girl’s 34-year-old mother pleaded guilty to criminal conspiracy and other charges last month and agreed to testify against Calloway, her sexual partner at the time. Calloway took the stand to deny her allegations.

Authorities say the woman was unable to have more children and asked her daughter to carry Calloway’s child, but she refused. The girl had said she was given alcohol and sleeping pills mixed in tea and soda and the man tried to assault her, but she awoke and fought off Calloway.
