Minnesota girl, 12, uses iPod and Facebook to call for help as sex fiend strikes

A 12-year-old Minnesota girl used her MP3 player and Facebook to call for help as she fought off her mother’s ex-boyfriend who was attempting to rape her.

ABC News said the girl had been left home alone with Raymond Cesmat, 42, who confiscated her mobile phone.

He then entered her bedroom naked and tried to pull off her pants, police said.

The girl kicked Cesmat and screamed for him to leave him alone in the July 10 incident, the the criminal complaint police filed against Cesmat explained.

When he left the room for a few minutes the girl used her iPod Touch – which has Wi-Fi access – to connect to Facebook and call for help.

The girl looked for friends online, messaging Cesmat’s daughter to ask her to urgently contact the girl’s mother and tell her to come home.

As she sent the message Cesmat returned naked and got on top of her. He managed to get her shorts off and molest the girl with his hand.

The girl kept fighting back and eventually when he left the room she escaped out of a window.

The girl’s mother returned home and Cesmat was arrested a short time later.

Facing two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, Cesmat took his own life on Friday while being held in a Dakota County jail.
