Man killed after allegedly confronting police

TWENTY-ONE-YEAR-OLD Ramon Watson of McDonald Lane, Kingston 13, was killed during a confrontation with police in the community yesterday evening.

The Hunts Bay CIB reports that they were on patrol in the vicinity of McDonald Lane when Watson was seen walking along the roadway.

The police said he was accosted by officers when he pulled a firearm and was shot. Watson was rushed to the Kingston Public Hospital where he died.

The police said a Taurus revolver with serial number erased and six cartridges were taken from him.

The Bureau of Special Investigations is investigating.
