THE Montego Bay CIB is investigating the death of an elderly couple at their home in Hendon, St James, last night.
Dead are 80-year-old Hopeton Whyte and his wife, 79-year-old Icilyn.
The police report that about 6:45 pm, the couple was at home when intruders gained entry and stabbed them several times. Mr Whyte was taken to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where he died. The police, who were called later, then went to the house where they found Mrs Whyte. She was taken to the hospital but also died.
