Chicago woman facing teen sex charges after Facebook discovery

A MOTHER was charged with seducing and molesting teenage boys – after her alleged crimes came to light via social networking site Facebook.

American Cathleen Miller, an administrative clerk, appeared in Chicago’s Bridgeview Cook County Courthouse where she was accused of providing alcohol and marijuana to three teenage boys – all 14 or 15 years old – before molesting them, myFOXchicago.com reported.

Prosecutors said the abuse, including intercourse, oral sex, and fondling, occurred at the 40-year-old’s home in Chicago Ridge over the course of five months, beginning in February 2010.

A source said the pattern of abuse was exposed when Miller’s 13-year-old daughter walked in on her mother and one of the boys having sex.

The boy posted an apology to the girl on Facebook – but it was seen by his parents, who alerted authorities.

Parents of the three boys, and one of the boys himself, watched Miller in her first court appearance today.

“She’s taken away the innocence of our children,” one of the mothers said.

Miller’s attorney John Russell said the woman, who recently separated from her husband, was a victim of domestic abuse, and that might have played a role in whatever transpired.

“She does need some serious treatment involving some psychiatric issues that have developed,” Mr Russell said.

She was being held on $900,000 bond.
