LONDON—British police have charged three more suspects with the murder of three men run over by a car as they protected their neighborhood from looters during summer riots.
The charges bring to eight the number of people accused of killing 20-year-old Haroon Jahan and brothers Shazad Ali, 30, and Abdul Musavir, 31.
They were killed after a car, allegedly containing several looters, struck them at high speed as they stood guard in front of a row of shops in Birmingham, central England, on Aug. 10.
West Midlands Police said Saturday they had charged three local men aged 20, 25 and 30. Their names were not released.
Five other men, aged 17 to 30, remain in custody awaiting trial.
