Two British toddlers have been found dead in a hotel room in a Spanish coastal resort, police in Spain said.
A spokeswoman for regional Catalan police said officers were called to an establishment in Lloret de Mar, 50 miles north of Barcelona at 2pm on Tuesday (1300 BST) and officers are investigating the scene.
Newspaper El Mundo said on its website that the children’s mother had phoned police, who were unable to revive the children.
The cause of death was unknown, the spokeswoman said.
The British Embassy in Madrid said it could not comment because the children are minors.
