Sold – 30 Pieces of Silver

The ‘bible’ told us that Judas was a very close friend of Jesus, he ate , worship, preach the gospel, and yet he felt no way in betraying him for what, 30 pieces of silver. My reason for that is just to be able to comment on the recent news in the papers about Abdel Basset al-Megrahi, the former Libyan intelligence officer, convicted for the Lockerbie bombing which took the lives of 270 people.

His release from prison has all the media making various innuendos, as to reasons that he was set free, and if these stories prove to be correct then 270 people lost their lives in vain, and oil is more important than people.

If the Scotland and England has nothing to hide then they should honour the request from the US to discuss the matter and allay the public fears that they did nothing wrong and that the early release of Abdel, was nothing but, as they allude, humanitarian.

Even if, BP has put pressure on the government, to hold talks with the Libyans regarding the drilling for oil, I cannot imagine that the Government of the day would be so callous in that they would betray the British public and more over the families of the Lockerbie disaster simply so that they could have the go ahead to get their greasy palms on drilling right.

As sceptical as I am I have to see irrefutable prove that they did for me to really believe this could have happen.

I would say to all the parties that have been asked to submit information to the US on this matter to do so, for the sake of the British reputation.

There are a great many of us who believe that Tony Blair’s down fall came about because he followed the US into a war with Iraq which he should have never gotten involved with, and the continuing conflict is a testament to the fact that we should have never get ourselves involved in that conflict.  Saddam Hussein have been executed and to date it has not proven to make any difference to Iraq, all that we have is more and more US and NATO servicemen dying every single day.

If it is proven that the British government sold the people who lost their lives in the Lockerbie bombing for the sake of oil, this will be the blackest day in the history of this country and a great many people will never forgive the politicians of that era.

I hope the blood of the Lockerbie victims is not on the hands of these individuals, as no matter what they will do, until they prove themselves innocent, they will eventually, suffer the consequences of their action, however long it takes.
