BOYZONE star and X Factor judge Ronan Keating has been thrown out of his house by his wife amid claims he cheated on her.
British newspapers today reported Keating’s wife of 12 years Yvonne dumped all his clothes on the doorstep of their Dublin home after accusing him of having an affair.
One paper claimed that Keating had confessed to his wife that he had cheated on her while the Irish singer was on a recent solo tour.
The Sun said Keating, who will join Kyle Sandilands, Natalie Imbruglia and Guy Sebastian to judge Australia’s version of the hit British talent show X Factor later this year, moved out after a screaming argument with his wife.
“Yvonne threw him out, with all his clothes on the doorstep,” a source close to Keating told the newspaper. “She was screaming at him and accusing him of cheating on her. “Ronan left home on Monday after Yvonne asked him to leave. “There was lots of arguing again on Tuesday over everything from rumours about other women to his upcoming work in Australia and they decided to split.”
The Mirror newspaper claimed that the father-of-three had confessed to having an affair with a blonde dancer while on tour in Britain, Australia and New Zealand. “It was during these nights away from home that he’s thought to have strayed,” one unnamed friend told the paper. “It’s a lonely existence being on tour with lots of late nights. Sadly the temptation proved too much.” Claims about Keating’s affair came within 24 hours of a statement released by the singer and his wife who said they split.
“With great sadness, Ronan and Yvonne Keating today announce their separation,” it said. “The separation is amicable and they will continue to work together in order to provide the best for their children. “The family ask for privacy at this difficult time.” The split comes just months after Keating, 33, lost his close friend and Boyzone bandmate Stephen Gately.
Keating and Yvonne, a former model, first met as teenagers. They married within months of beginning a relationship in 1998.
