A man has been charged with kidnapping and raping a teenager in Berkshire 23 years ago.
In June 1987, the 17-year-old girl was walking along Bath Road, Slough, when she was forced into a car and driven a short distance before being raped.
Donald William Robertson, 54, was arrested in Cambridgeshire on Wednesday and charged with one count of rape and one count of kidnap.
He is due to appear at Slough Magistrates’ Court on Friday.
Thames Valley Police said the victim had been approached by a man on foot who had, what the victim thought to be, a gun or a knife in his pocket.
She attempted to escape by trying to flag down a passing car but was unsuccessful and was forced into a parked car and driven off. She was then raped.
