Lawrence killer – What if his so-called reform is a sham?

The forth-coming release of Learco Chindamo, for the murder of Phillip Lawrence, bring me no joy, in fact I am furious.

I do understand that people should be given a second change at life, however, there are those who have committed certain heinous crimes that should never be given any second change and this is one of them.

I personally knew Phillip Lawrence, when he was the Head of Dick Sheppard school, no longer exist, and I worked with him during those years.  He was a decent man with one intention that was to ensure, that every pupil under his command was the best they could be.  He strife to ensure the students were well looked after, their concerns were never push aside, he make sure his staff took each child education seriously, so forgive me if I am bitter that his murderer is about to be released.

The world and the community lost a great teacher, and a good man, all because he does what he knows best, protecting his pupil from idiots like Learco Chindamo.

I cannot feel it in my heart to forgive this person for the evil deed that he has done.  I do not care if he has been reformed beyond believe, I still believe that once a killer always a killer and if someone find it so easy to take another human life, then what to stop them from doing the same thing again.

At the age that he murder Phillip, he should have been in school, learning to be a productive member of society, not harmed with a knife in order that he has taken away the life of an amazing man.  Mr Lawrence, cannot come back to his family, he cannot come back to the community that missed him so much.

Yet as I write this with the anger I felt, I can hear Phillip voice in my head, saying ‘forgive and forget is to be divine’, he was an amazing man.  Although I cannot forgive this person, I am sure that wherever Phillip Lawrence is today he would be the first to say, give him another chance, that was the integrity of the man.

I do hope that he will use the chance he will be given to be a model individual and that he will reflect on the evil deed that he has done and use this chance to prove to everyone that this was a mistake, and nothing more.  – However, I have my doubts.
