Firing Squad – ‘Barbaric’ But it is a choice

By Sandrea: MY GRIPE

I can understand the liberal views that killing someone by firing squad can be seen as a barbaric act, it is nevertheless the choice of Ronnie Lee Gardener.

He, at least have the ability to decide the way in which he die.

The death penalty is a punishment that I disagree with, because if someone is found innocent after they are put to death then you cannot make it right.

We are living in the 21st century and there has to be a better way to imprisoned offenders rather than take their lives as no matter what the crime is killing another human being does not stop people from committing murder, and the death penalty has not proven to be a deterrent against crime, and if a punishment cannot prevent an individual from undertaking a crime then that deterrent is useless.

The UK have abolish the death penalty as the Government of the day realise the futility of such penalty and that’s why I find that a so-called democracy like the US cannot abolish the death penalty in all of the current state that has this inhuman punishment, it does not prove to be anything more than a state sanction murder, and it is time that it is abolished.

The fact, that they still have the dead penalty in the state that Mr Gardiner commit his crime, and he’s to be put to death, at least he’s his going out of this world in the manner that he choose and I said he got a lot of balls to choose to die by firing squad.
