14-year-old stabbed in city’s east-end

A teenager is recovering in hospital after being stabbed in the neck in Scarborough on Thursday night.

Toronto police said the 14-year-old boy has undergone surgery and is in stable condition after an incident near Pope John Paul II Catholic Secondary School at Military Trail and Bonspiel Dr.

The teen was stabbed around 9:30 p.m., possibly while attending a function at the school, said Staff Sgt. Mike Walters.

There’s no word yet on whether the police have suspects.
