Livermore man arrested in Kentucky on suspicion of luring girl to have sex

A Livermore man has been arrested in Kentucky on suspicion that he flew to the state to have sex with a 15-year-old girl he met online.

Robert Alderman, 23, was arrested at an Erlanger, Ky., gas station as he waited to meet the girl, according to a report in the Kentucky Post newspaper.

The Livermore Police Department confirmed Alderman’s residence Tuesday.

The two met through a social networking website and the suspect allegedly rented a hotel room in order to have sex with the girl.

Police recovered nude pictures of the teenage victim in the suspect’s belongings.

Alderman is charged with unlawful use of electronic means to engage in sexual activity with a minor and use of a minor under 16 in a sex performance.

Alderman is being held on $10,000 bail and is scheduled for a preliminary court hearing Tuesday, the Post said.
