Jodi Jones’ killer Luke Mitchell and other murderers among prisoners XI beaten in jail football match

JODI JONES killer Luke Mitchell and a group of fellow cons were beaten by a team of prison officers in a jail footie match.

The 21-year-old murderer lined up in a side which included pizza parlour killer Juan Carlos Crispin, murdering ex-junkie Jason Alder, and Andrew Ferguson, who is serving life for chopping his victim’s head off in 2003 over an unpaid drugs debt.

Mitchell was taking part in the annual prison officers versus inmates football match at Shotts Prison. And the cons were thrashed 9-6. The teams lined up against each other on the maximum security jail’s outdoor pitch.

Other inmates allowed to cheer on from the sidelines were gutted by their side’s lacklustre performance.

A prison source said: “The prisoners line up was like a who’s who of Scotland’s nasty b*****ds.

“Mitchell and co thought it would be a breeze but the screws are pretty fit and they ran out easy winners.

“Apparently sitting around playing video games and smoking fags all day isn’t the best preparation for a 90 minute kickaround.”
