World’s naughtiest and priciest bed launched in UK

THE world’s most expensive bed – which features a personalised erotic image hand-stitched onto the headboard – will be sold in the U.K., a British department store has revealed.

Named InDecent Bed by its American designers, the full package, available from 101-year-old high end store Selfridges, costs £50,000 ($86,000) and involves flying top American photographers Sante D’Orazio, Guido Argentina or Warwick Saint (whose portfolio includes Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Pamela Anderson) to customers’ homes for a provocative shoot.

The amorous images are then painstakingly hand-stitched onto a headboard.

Close-up the result looks like a mosaic, but from a distance it shows couples in the throes of passion, or singletons at their most sexy.

For those who are a little shyer, or are looking for something a little cheaper, there is a limited edition version showing an arty shot of a nude model, for £9,000.

Selfridges spokesman Jude Morgan said: “If an Englishman’s home is his castle, then an Englishwoman’s home is surely her bed. Buying the InDecent Bed is a once in a lifetime statement of love.”

This luxury bed, made from solid high gloss oak, will be available from Friday.
