POLICE are appealing for help in tracing a 45-year-old Suffolk man who went missing on Thursday – 22 April.

Steven Carter was reported missing on Thursday evening after he failed to keep an appointment at 5.30pm.

He was last seen in Lowestoft on Thursday morning before heading to work in Bury St Edmunds.

He got there as usual and at around 4.15pm he called his partner to confirm the 5.30pm appointment but he did not attend as arranged.

He was reported missing at 8.30pm and at this stage calls to his phone have remained unanswered. Officers are concerned for his welfare as he has never been missing before.

Mr Carter is described as white, 5ft 9ins tall, of slim build with short wavy dark brown hair and brown eyes. He wears glasses and is thought to have been wearing a dark coloured suit.

He is believed to be driving a blue Peugeot 206, registration X942 ACL

Police are investigating the circumstances around his disappearance and are asking Mr Carter, anyone who may have seen him in the past 24 hours, or anyone with information about where he or his car is now to call the duty sergeant at Lowestoft on 01986 835300.
