Thomas Pryde admitted killing Adam Alexander with a metal pole in 1999

A man who battered a biker to death more than 10 years ago then buried his body in a field has been jailed.

Thomas Pryde, 38, from Perthshire, said he attacked 46-year-old biker Adam Alexander in 1999 with a metal pole after they had a row.

Despite repeated searches by police, Mr Alexander’s body has never been found.

At the High Court in Edinburgh, Judge Lord Bracadale described the killing as a “most disturbing crime” and jailed Pryde for 10 years.
