Jack Tweed ‘assault teenager shut in room’

Jack Tweed, the widower of reality TV star Jade Goody, assault a teenager at his Essex home while his friend held the door shut, a court has been told.

At Snaresbrook Crown Court the 22-year-old denied two charges of raping the woman, then 19, at his home in Repton Park, Woodford Green, in September.  Anthony Davis, 25, from Chigwell, Essex, denies one charge of rape.  The prosecution alleges Mr Davis held the door shut and told Mr Tweed: “Do what you’ve got to do.”

The pair met the woman at a nightclub in London’s West End on 4 September 2009, the court was told.  Linda Strudwick, prosecuting, said the victim and her friends went to Mr Tweed’s house after a night out at the Embassy club in Mayfair, central London.  The victim was shy, sober and “made it plain to both defendants that she was not interested in them sexually”, Ms Strudwick said.  But Mr Davis pushed her into a bedroom and called for Mr Tweed to join him, the court heard.

Ms Strudwick said: “Anthony Davis held the door shut, saying to Jack Tweed: ‘Don’t worry Jack, I’ve got the door, do what you’ve got to do’ . ”  Giving evidence from behind a screen, the alleged victim, now 20, said she was not drunk but had dipped her finger into some cocaine and rubbed it on to her gums, but felt no effect.

She said that later in the evening Mr Tweed started kissing her. “That’s when I nervously laughed and pushed him off,” she told the court. Later she said Mr Davis grabbed her in a “kind of bear hug” and walked her backwards into the bedroom.
