Britain to depoy jets to Libya within hours

BRITAIN will deploy fighter jets in the coming hours as part of the international operation to enforce the UN Security Council resolution on Libya.

The announcement came from Prime Minister David Cameron,  who’s told parliament that Britain will play its part to create a no-fly zone.

Cameron says the UK will use air force jets to prevent Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi’s troops from attacking civilians.

He says the jets will include Tornado and Typhoon fighter planes air-to-air refuelling planes and surveillance aircraft.

He says efforts to deploy the aircraft are underway and they will move to air bases from where they can take the necessary action within hours.
