First the Civil servants decide enough and staged a walkout now teachers are threatening to do the same.

It is becoming patently clear that this coalition government is fast losing the plot, they do not seem to recognise that their draconian policies are tearing the heart out of the nation and unless something is done they are slowly bringing the UK further into chaos.

The civil servants strike because they accuse the government of, working harder than ever to provide the services we all rely on but, instead of rewarding them, the government is imposing cuts to their pay, raiding their pensions and trying to rip up their basic working conditions.

It seems to be the same thing that the teachers are complaining about, having imposed on them performance related pay. It is bad enough that teachers have to suffer ineffective funding in schools, having to tolerate teaching some of society problem pupils with very little appreciation for their profession.

The invaluable role that the teacher plays in society cannot be measured, they spend their lives teaching and educating the next generation, they are never recognised for their contribution and to have this idiotic government putting more pressure on them is unforgivable.

With two more years to go before the country can effectively rid the nation of this government it is becoming patently clear that they intend to do as much damage to the country.  People tend to forget that when a new government is elected it takes sometimes to rid the country of the bad policies of the previous one and that is going to be a task for the new government.

It would be idiotic to say that the coalition inherit a perfect country, but instead of working on what was good about the policies and procedures that was in place they have set out on a course of total destruction.  They destroy the welfare system, making it so difficult for the poorest of society to function, and now they are on the verge of doing the same to teachers.

In my opinion, the burning question is what is really safe in the hands of this coalition government, certainly not the health system, education, welfare, employment, law and order, so what apart from the destruction of all of these services have this coalition government achieve, I am leaving that up to the readers to decide.
